This rare and elegant 1958 Alfa Romeo 1900 C Super Sprint by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is for sale, one of just 610 originally produced and one of only 150 remaining.

 

The Alfa 1900 series are delightfully lightweight cars that offer an engaging driving experience and impressive performance for their time. Featuring handbuilt all-aluminum bodies crafted by Touring, these vehicles boast significantly lower curb weights than their steel-bodied contemporaries. Powered by a durable and reliable 1.9-liter four-cylinder engine. The interior provides ample legroom and comfortably accommodates drivers up to six feet tall, making the Alfa 1900 an ideal choice for long-distance touring and prestigious events.

 

This car was originally delivered new in Milan, Italy, before being exported to Germany shortly after its sale. It remained in Germany for the majority of its life until it was brought back to Italy in 2010. Later that year, it was imported to the UK by its current owner, where it underwent an exhaustive, no-expense-spared restoration with invoicing over £160,000. 

 

The current owner commissioned a comprehensive body-off restoration by the esteemed Prestige Restoration, followed by a full mechanical rebuild carried out by DTR Sports Cars. This included the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, and rear axle, all rebuilt to an exceptional standard and documented.

 

Finished in the stunning Bianco Gardenia, the Alfa is complemented by a fully re-trimmed interior in Lords Red Vaumol leather with white accents, beautifully completed by Moto Trim.

It rides on refurbished Borrani Turino wheels wrapped in correct Michelin X tyres, contributing to its period-correct and striking presentation.
