This stunning example has had no expense spared during the last 11 years of my ownership.

Imported into the UK from the dry climate of Verona, Italy, in 2015, the car was in fantastic condition, with no rust, straight bodywork and a beautifully preserved, largely original interior. Mechanically, the car was also in very good and original condition.

The plan, however, was to turn this already excellent Giulia Super into a fast-road specification, while retaining the spirit and character of the 105 Series and enhancing its drivability.

The car was subsequently entrusted to Alfaholics, where it underwent an extensive programme of upgrades and improvements, with invoices totalling over £35,000.

The combination of these upgrades makes the car extremely reliable, usable and hugely enjoyable to drive in all conditions. The additional performance and improved handling transform the driving experience while retaining the wonderful character and feel of the original Giulia.

With a long waiting list for the Alfaholics workshop, and Alfaholics being the world's leading Alfa Romeo specialists, it would be extremely difficult to replicate this specification today, both in terms of cost and the time required to complete the work.

The Giulia Super

The Giulia Super needs little introduction to Alfa Romeo enthusiasts, but for those who are less familiar with the model, it is a truly remarkable car.

Its distinctive three-box design was developed with extensive aerodynamic consideration, giving the Giulia an exceptionally slippery shape for its era. The car was also equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and a five-speed manual gearbox from new, making it an unusually advanced and usable sports saloon for the early 1970s.

This particular Giulia takes those qualities and enhances them considerably. The combination of the 2.0-litre Nord engine, Alfaholics suspension, brakes, differential, GTA wheels and fast-road specification gives the car an extraordinary balance of performance, usability and character.

It offers a truly unforgettable driving experience and is a car with genuine personality – something that is increasingly difficult to find in modern cars.

Recent Maintenance

The car underwent a major service last October, including:

  • New alternator

  • Engine oil and filter

  • Gearbox oil

  • Differential oil

  • Brake fluid

  • Tracking checked

The car is now ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.

This is a very special Giulia Super that I have owned and developed over the last 11 years, and it is only with great reluctance that I have decided to sell it.
